Thatcham
Medical Practice is an approved training practice. This means that we are
involved in the final stages of training new GPs (known as GP Registrars). GP
Registrars are qualified doctors experienced in hospital medicine. Their year
in general practice completes their training to become a GP. All appointments
offered by GP Registrars are extra to the appointments usually available. The
Practice also has Medical students, Nurse, Health Visitors and Midwifery
Students on occasions. Being approved as a ‘training practice’ gives
recognition of the quality of care we provide here as well as the educational
opportunities available for learners. It also helps to keep us all on our toes
to ensure we keep updated in the latest developments.
Please advise our Receptionists when booking your
appointment if you prefer not to be seen by a student. |
