Flu Cases Surge 

An 'urgent call' has been issued for people to receive their flu vaccinations, as an unusually early surge in cases is putting significant pressure on local health services.

Health officials have warned that the UK could face a "particularly difficult flu season," driven by an early wave of the virus, with cases rising sharply among children and older people.
