The Family Planning Clinic is held on a Weekly basis on:-

Monday Afternoon 2:00 – 3:30
Tuesday Morning 8:30 – 12:00
Tuesday Afternoon 4:00 – 5:30
Wednesday Afternoon 2:00 – 3:30

To book an appointment, please use our online patient services or phone the surgery on 01635 867171 and choose option 4 (or ask to be put through to the Treatment Room).

Please contact the surgery or your local pharmacist if you think you may need emergency contraception.

PLEASE NOTE:

We DO NOT provide a routine pregnancy confirmation service. Our doctors are happy to reply on the outcome of a home pregnancy test and clinical history.

The Family Planning Clinic is available to patients of the Thatcham Medical Practice AND to other patients who prefer to arrange their contraception away from their usual medical practice.

In addition to the prescribing of the pill and ’emergency contraception’, we are also able to arrange for the fitting of coils and diaphrams.

There is also a Family Planning Clinic at West Berks Community Hospital for all patients aged 25 years or under. (Patients aged over 25 years can be seen if referred by their GP). Walk-In clinics are held at the hospital on Monday (4.00pm-6.30pm) and Thursday (4.00pm-6.30pm).
