Health Visitors

The Health Visitors at the Central Family Hub in Thatcham are all qualified nurses with special training and experience in child health, health promotion and health education.

They are part of the Primary Health Care team and available to listen, advise and support families with children as well as couples and single parents. Their aim is to help individuals lead as healthy a life as possible, both physically and mentally.

The Health Visitors can advise parents on:

  • Breastfeeding
  • Post Natal Depression
  • Teething
  • Sleep
  • Immunisation
  • Eating
  • Potty Training
  • Behaviour
  • Common Illnesses
  • Growth and Development

The Health Visitors can be contacted between 9:00am and 4:30pm. Outside of these hours, an answerphone will take your call.

Don’t be afraid to ask your health visiting team for advice. They know being a parent sometimes isn’t easy!
