Meet Bex – Physician Assistant
Bex qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1996 and went on to earn a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Science shortly thereafter. Her career began in operating room theatres, where she developed a strong foundation in surgical care. Over the years, she has broadened her experience across Primary Care, the private sector, and occupational health.
In 2021, Bex graduated as a Physician Associate and joined Thatcham Medical Practice, where she is a key member of the duty team, managing acute and urgent same-day presentations across a wide range of symptoms. Bex works under the supervision of and in collaboration with the GP team.
Her current special interests lie in family planning, sexual health, and women’s health. Drawing on her theatre background, Bex has gained a Faculty of Reproductive & Sexual Health Letter of Competence in coil and implant fitting and removal, allowing her to offer specialist procedures and support in these areas.
