Meet Darren – Advanced Nurse Practitioner 

Darren qualified as a nurse in 2015 after training at Oxford Brookes University and began working in advanced clinical practice in 2017. He brings a broad clinical background from emergency care, minor injury units, and out-of-hours GP services, and has been part of our surgery team since March 2022. He holds master’s-level qualifications in advanced history taking, clinical reasoning, physical assessment, and diagnostic decision-making. Darren is also a registered independent and supplementary prescriber, with additional postgraduate training in minor injuries, minor illness, and dermatology—an area he particularly enjoys supporting patients with. 

Committed to delivering safe, thorough, and accessible care, Darren works autonomously while collaborating closely with GPs to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health concerns. His calm, pragmatic approach helps patients feel listened to and empowered throughout their care journey.
