Meet Paul – Advanced Paramedic 

Paul is an experienced Advanced Paramedic who began his career with Royal Berkshire Ambulance Service in 1993, qualifying as a Paramedic in 1995. Over two decades, he held various senior roles including Clinical Supervisor, Practice Educator, and Emergency Care Practitioner.

He completed a BSc in Paramedic and Perioperative Care at Oxford Brookes University and later achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Practice. Paul was among the first cohort of Paramedic Independent Prescribers in 2019.

Since 2015, Paul has worked in urgent care settings across Oxfordshire and Berkshire, providing face-to-face, telephone, and home visit consultations. He joined the practice in November 2023 and moved into a full-time role in July 2024. He also continues to work part-time at West Berkshire Hospital MIU and with the Westcall Out of Hours Service. Paul can assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe for a wide range of conditions. He works independently and as part of the GP team to provide expert care, especially for patients with urgent or complex needs.
