Health Visitors
The Health Visitors at the Central Family Hub in Thatcham are a skill mix team comprising of staff nurses, registered nurses with training in maternal and child health, and nursery nurses who are qualified in child development and have relevant training in child-related issues such as sleep, behaviour issues and healthy eating.
The Team works in partnership with children and families, as well as other professionals such as health, education, social care and voluntary organisations to provide health support which is tailored to individual needs. They are available to listen, advise and support families with children as well as couples and single parents. Their aim is to help individuals lead as healthy a life as possible, both physically and mentally.
The Health Visitors can advise parents on:

- Post Natal Depression
- Teething
- Sleep
- Immunisation
- Eating
- Potty Training
- Behaviour
- Common Illnesses
- Growth and Development
